Although FAR from safe, ice conditions have improved with the cold weather and fishing has been pretty good for the most part here in the area. Lake Poygan continues to provide fairly consistent catches of walleye, white bass, crappie and a few northern pike. I have not heard much about bluegills or perch but will bet they start showing up soon somewhere in the system. The river in the New London area is seeing some action for walleye along with some scattered panfish action in the back waters. BE CAREFUL, as ice conditions are not good and the snow is covering some potential dangerous spots.
MAKE SURE TO PLAN FOR ICE BREAKER 7 ~ MARCH 17 & 18, 2012 AT CRITTERS SPORTS IN WINNECONNE.
