News is that there has been a NO WAKE rule put in effect in Waupaca County within 500 feet of any permanent structure. As far as the fishing, it has been good. Walleye have been being caught in the river on crank baits near flooded shoreline structure as have smallmouth bass and some northern pike. Cat fish have been biting too. On Lake Poygan fishing has been good for walleye with some nice catfish mixed in too. Not sure whats going to happen with the fish once the water levels start to drop again but for now, fishing is pretty good. The water is a little muddy so bright colors and rattles might be a good suggestion. The warm up should start the panfish going again too.
