I saw friends yesterday that had LOTS of white bass. They are biting in the lower end of the river as they are post spawn. Crappie are spawning and the bluegill are starting too. Catfish are biting well and anglers who are out looking are catching walleye even in the New London area. Northern pike are also starting to bite well and so are the smallmouth and largemouth bass. Sorry for the delay in posting but we lost a friend of fishing in the New London area, Don Cashmore, owner of the Little Shoppe of Bait and I had some other business obligations that had me traveling. Keep in touch as we cover the fishing all year long.
