Although there is still plenty of dangerous spots, there is also plenty of good ice. A few pike and some good panfish action has been reported from the lower end of the system. Boom Bay, Pages Slough, The Mill Bayou, Partridge Lake, Partridge Crop, The Oxbow and Old River are all seeing some action. Bluegills are also being caught in shallow weeds on the lower lakes. As far as walleye, anglers are getting out on some of the usual spots. I expect to hear about some fish being caught soon.
