I have not seen any groups of anglers out on the river yet but have heard of a few people testing access points. Check with Cashes Little Shoppe of Bait for up to date info. The back waters are starting to freeze but the large amounts of snow have made for the need to exercise caution. Anglers are still walking out for the most part due to some potential soft spots. Bluegills and perch are being caught on the lower end of the system in places such as Boom Bay. Kiesow’s is an excellent access point. The lower lakes are also producing fish in weedy areas and channels. Mr Bluegill at Critters Sports is the best guide for the area. In Fremont, Partridge Lake and other local hot spots are starting top produce fish. Ma’s Bait is a good starting point for the area. I’ll post more as the season goes.
