Lake Poygan Walleye

Anglers have been finding some success on Lake Poygan for walleye, pike, crappie and white bass.  I’ve heard reports of a foot of ice in many areas, but caution is still advised.  I’ve also seen a flurry of activity in the New London area, especially just before dark.  With all the snow and a rise in water level on the river, fish that were stacked up in the lower stretches should move into the area to stage in the deep holes.  That could make for some good fishing.
Merry Christmas,
