One of my best sources of information continues to be the discussions I have, or overhear, out in the community. In the last few days I’ve had quite a few more people starting to talk to me about catching walleye on different parts of the system. From near the Rat River to around Gill’s Landing and even in the New London area are the general locations talked about. The cool off should continue to put water temperatures in a better range for the walleye and crappie should continue to bite also. White bass fishing could cool off with the falling water temperature or put them on a feeding frenzy until it falls out of their preferred range. We could use some rain as water levels are extremely low. If it stays this way, we could have an early freeze up due to lack of current.
