A recent conversation with Vi Kiesow from Kiesow’s Landing confirmed the rumors I had heard about the very good walleye fishing out on Lake Poygan. The lake has been producing limits of eater size fish most days. The panfish are starting to show up too with bluegills being the most talked about along with a few perch being caught. Northern pike are also quite active throughout the lower system and the bass fishing has been good too. Near New London fishing pressure has been light but there have been some walleye caught with catfish, bass and a few pike providing the main action. Fishing has not been as good since the water levels dropped but there is still plenty of fishing action available now that things have settled down. Canoe and small boat fishing up stream can provide some interesting opportunities. Contact me via my web site for more information.
