Water levels have fallen to the point where we area actually a bit below normal levels for this time of year. What that does is concentrate the fish in the deeper sections of the river and deeper holes for a short time. If you know where any spring or clam beds are, you will most likely still catch some walleye there and in deep water. The deep water should also have plenty of catfish to tangle with. Bass and pike fishing should still provide some action and from what I’ve heard the bluegill had been biting in the back waters and local lakes. It’s great “fishing boat” territory here in Wolf River Country this time of year and as far north as you need to go for some good fishing.
