Well the open water season has started on the Wisconsin and Fox River at DePere. The Rock had a few boats out but is pretty much still full of ice. There’s high water there also. When the river does open, veteran Rock River anglers are figuring on total no wake rules again. That puts a premium on having numerous spots near the boat launch you choose to use. On the Wisconsin walleye and sauger are being caught below the Dells and probably every dam to the north. From what I’ve heard and read about the Fox there have been lots of walleye biting at DePere. Clear water and heavy daytime boat traffic is making the night bite pretty good for those who like to stay out after dark.
