Fish Throughout The System

There have been walleye filtering back with fish being caught everywhere from above New London to Lake Poygan and Winneconne.  They are not being caught in big numbers as the fish are spread out, so finding a group is key.  They have been being caught on flies, jigging and by casting crank baits in the river and by trolling crawler harnesses and crank baits out on the lower lakes.  Catfish have been bitting as well as quite a few bass, especially smallies.  PLEASE MAKE SURE TO RELEASE ALL LARGEMOUTH AND SMALLMOUTH BASS.  THERE ARE BETTER EATING FISH IN THE SYSTEM AND THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME BIG FISH EXISTS IF PEOPLE PRACTICE CATCH & RELEASE ON THESE SPECIES.  PERFECT FISH FRY MATERIAL WOULD BE ANY OF THE ABUNDANT WHITE BASS, WALLEYE, CATFISH, BLUEGILL, PERCH AND CRAPPIE IN THE SYSTEM.
