Walleye Coming In To System From Bago

Fishing at Winneconne today was very good from what I saw and heard.  Pre-spawn fish were coming in to the system and should make for some good fishing as will some returning post spawn fish.  Expect all parts of the system to have pockets of good fishing mixed with tough times due to large amount of fish in the marshes spawning.

The best is yet to come!  The “run” has, and will always be, post spawn.

  1. Thanks for the update. I enjoy fishing the Wolf for spring and fall white bass but never have for walleye. Is it good practice to hook the jig to a river rig to keep the jig weight down and in place at the same time?

    • No. Maybe a floating jig but never a lead head jig. Just use enough weight to get to the bottom. You shouldn’t ever need more then 3/8 oz.

      Good Luck
