Good Walleye Fishing

For the most part the fishing has been very good throughout the system.  I’ve heard reports of good fishing from Shiocton, Stephensville, New London, Gill’s Landing, Fremont and the Rat River area. Of course, that doesn’t mean that everybody is limiting out.  Conditions, barometric pressure and other factors have made for some tough during certain periods in the day.  Fish are on the move with a few post spawn females already being reported.  The falling water level and cool down will push fish that were in the marsh back in to the river where they should continue to go up stream.  Most anglers are still doing best when anchored but those drifting and jigging long, deep current breaks are also catching fish.
GOOD LUCK, THE BEST IS YET TO COME.
